We implemented an intuitive SilverStripe CMS – the only Microsoft-endorsed PHP CMS. Our design solution was user-centric. We mapped user journeys, then created pages including ‘News’ to keep Local Authorities informed, and a consultation page where stakeholders can monitor development of new waste management sites. We also built a Flash map where one can search for a local Viridor facility via postcode or county.
Google Analytics revealed that post-launch, (December 2010), Viridor experienced continuous growth in traffic, achieving over 17,000 visits in December 2010, with 39% of those visitors making repeat visits. Dwell times in key areas of the site also significantly increased.
